Community Uptake Analysis of PEACE II
Haase, T. and Pratschke, J. in association with HELM Corporation (2005)
This report analyses the allocation of funding in Northern Ireland and the Border Region of Ireland under the European Union Programme for Peace and Reconciliation. It primarily addresses the issue of religious community uptake of available funding and the complex relationship between religious community background, deprivation, funding applications and approved funding within Northern Ireland. Study commissioned by the Special EU Programmes Body, Belfast, 48 pages.
The research findings included a higher uptake for peace II funding compared to Peace I suggesting a greater recognition of the programme by that community. They also reveal that the targetting of funding towards areas of social need has been succesful while the programme has still maintained its coverage right across Northern Ireland.
