After a courageous battle against cancer,
surrounded by his loving family and friends,
Trutz passed away on 1 April 2018.
He will be sadly missed by his loving
wife Karena, his bereft mother Ruth,
his brother Falk, his sister Petra,
his sister-in-law Anne, his nieces,
Irish family and many friends and
colleagues.
Trutz’s work on the Pobal HP Deprivation
Index and his contribution to social and
economic research in Ireland were guided by
a deep commitment to using science to
build a more equal and democratic society.
This website will not be updated in the
future, but will remain active to facilitate
access to data and reports.
